Ed Harrison Design
Project Insects Unearthed
Location Little Man Coffee, Little Man Garage
Ed Harrison is a passionate designer and illustrator who’s work focuses on wildlife and conservation.
Despite having an ever pressing demand for his work, Ed can often be found on the coast, either in the sea or half way up a rock face… Which one will depend on the day of the week.
Insects Unearthed was an exhibition Ed created and curated in order to raise awareness of declining insect populations.

Paper form
Utilising a scalpel, card stock & double sided tape, each insect was brought to life using Eds geometric design style.

Pushing Pins
Upon completion, insects were either framed for the exhibition or boxed with a pin for gallery visitors to take home.

Making Moves
Never one to be sedentary, Ed is also a founding member of Under The Skin Of Endangered Animals

Education & Interaction
Once Insects Unearthed was finally curated and displayed, Ed would return to the exhibition daily to remove species one by one.
Over time the population of species would dwindle, a subtle way of showing the reality behind the project.
