Some people believe that the heart is only good for a finite amount of beats, should that be true, I'm sure this wedding claimed a fair few.
Ailsa & Neal are one of those couples that I am super grateful for having walked into my life. Both a stage manager and an actor, they spend most of their time at opposite ends of the country to one another, yet their love remains evident and unshakeable.
Ailsa & Neal were my first ever wedding booking and I' so honoured to have been a part of their incredible day at Rosedew Farm.
Their day was relaxed and sophisticated, a true representation of both of their personalities. Ailsa looked flawless in her Ghost dress and even did her own make up (with a little guidance from close friend Stubbs) what a legend! Neal looked like an absolute boss wearing a tartan three piece suit from Noose & Monkey. The two of them looked like movie stars from a timeless classic.
After a touching ceremony, complete with heart felt readings and a few tears, there was an impromptu sing along to Whitney Houston's "I wanna dance with somebody", played by two friends and backed up by the wedding party.
Their day was everything I look for in a wedding; Long conversations, speeches that tugged on heart strings, long tearful hugs, along with a couple, drenched with class and an undeniable love for on another.
As the night rolled in, there was pizza, dancing and an overwhelming sense of well being. The band fell silent as Neal took centre stage to sing a traditional Irish folk song to honour his wife and guests. A fitting end to an incredible day.
I'm so grateful for these two, not just for allowing me to be involved in their wedding, but for walking into my life and genuinely making it a little fuller.
Ailsa & Neal, I will always have a glass raised in your name.
